Aetna: Managed Care Video & Insights Microsite
Opportunity / Problem
Aetna, a leading healthcare company, needed a more effective way to connect with members and help them understand the real-life value of their health benefits. Their existing communications lacked clarity and engagement, leaving consumers unsure how Aetna’s managed care offerings supported their daily well-being. The challenge was to create a content hub and educational video experience that would humanize the brand and make complex healthcare information simple, relatable, and accessible.
Solution
We developed an integrated solution combining an animated educational video with a new Aetna Insights Microsite—a digital destination designed to connect, inform, and empower members. The video translates the complexities of managed care into a visually engaging story, showing how Aetna’s benefits seamlessly integrate into everyday life—from preventive care to mental health and wellness support. The animation style was intentionally friendly and digestible, using motion graphics and illustration to bring warmth and clarity to the subject matter.
The microsite extended this approach, serving as a central hub for insights, tips, and resources. Designed for easy navigation and visual cohesion with the video, it positioned Aetna as both a healthcare provider and a trusted guide helping members make informed, confident decisions about their health.
Outcome
The combined launch of the Managed Care Video and Aetna Insights Microsite strengthened Aetna’s connection with its audience, making their benefits easier to understand and more emotionally resonant. The approachable storytelling and cohesive digital experience increased engagement, helping members see how Aetna’s managed care solutions fit into and improve their everyday lives. Internally, the initiative became a model for how education, design, and storytelling can work together to build trust and clarity in healthcare communication.
