Storyboard

The project began with a storyboard that mapped out the narrative flow of the video. Each panel outlined the key scenes: simplifying managed care concepts, guiding viewers through member benefits, and highlighting Aetna’s supportive role. The storyboard acted as both a visual script and an alignment tool with stakeholders.

Once the storyboard was approved, we selected illustrations that were designed to match Aetna’s brand identity. Clean, approachable characters and healthcare-inspired icons were selected to make complex topics easier to understand. A consistent color palette and 2D design style reinforced clarity and trust.

animation

The illustrations were then brought into After Effects and animated with smooth transitions, character movements, and kinetic text. Motion design techniques ensured the pacing was engaging while still leaving space for voiceover and on-screen messaging. Voice-over and music were added to effectively convey Aetna’s message. The final animation delivered Aetna’s message in a friendly, accessible way.
